Catherine of Siena (1347-1380) was a mediator and mystic who traveled throughout France and Italy to meet with both secular and church leaders to settle disputes. She was later one of the first women to be named a Doctor of the Church. She is a patron for our mission because of her example of strength in Christ and her desire for peace through mediation.
